This year marks Beethoven's 250th Birthday and we're celebrating at the closing concert of the Spring residency with two great Piano Quartets by Ludwig van Beethoven and his successor, Johannes Brahms.
"You can't have any idea what it's like always to hear such a giant marching behind you!” That giant was Beethoven, and the shadow he cast over Brahms was nearly inescapable.
