New York - United States

The Eucharist (Soorp Badarak) has been the central act of worship for all Christian churches since the inception of Christianity. What is Badarak all about? Why do we do what we do? How can we participate more actively in the Badarak and get more out of it? This seminar will address these issues and more. The participants will:

- Get a solid biblical background for understanding worship and Eucharistic celebration, its basic elements, content, vocabulary, images and symbolic language.

- See clearly the basic structure of the service.

- Receive step-by-step guidelines of the drama of the Soorp Badarak, with commentary on prayers and hymns and liturgical movements and symbols, using short Badarak video clips, with a detailed outline of the service, cross-referenced to the Prelacy’s Soorp Badarak book.

Sponsored by the Prelacy’s Armenian Religious Education Council (AREC) and St. Illuminator’s Cathedral.

A one-day seminar conducted by Archdeacon Shant Kazanjian, Director of Christian Education (Eastern Prelacy).

Registration required by March 15, 2019.
