Maps traditionally helped us to navigate from one place to another. But there are also other kinds of maps… mind maps which help you to work out ideas and their connections; maps of imaginary or real places. This workshop encourages us to explore these and to think about how we have arrived in the here and now. An opportunity for families to spend quality time together making something to treasure, mapping ourselves, our family and our journeys. We’ll look at Karen’s own ‘Map Book for Young Explorers’ on show in the exhibition. Suitable for ages 7-100!
No art experience is necessary. Participants are encouraged to bring their stories, pictures and any special objects to the session. Reserve your FREE tickets here: https://bit.ly/FamilyMapmakingWorkshop
