Vartavar - Վարդավառ
Saint Mary Armenian Apostolic Church of Toronto
Vartavar is a Christian feast, that preserves ancient Armenian customs. The most famous tradition is the joyful practice of pouring water on one another, symbolizing purification, renewal, blessing, and spiritual refreshment. On Vartavar day, people of all ages participate in friendly water-splashing celebrations.
This year for Vartavar we have water games and foam party, also food, snacks, beverages, cotton candy, popcorn and ice cream.
The entrance fee is $5 for all ages.
