Kirikian Armenian School of St. Thomas Armenian Church
Our Toddler Program is designed specifically for children who are 2½ years old by September 1st. The school day runs from 9:00 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.
In the Toddler class, children are introduced to colors, shapes, numbers, and the letters of the Armenian alphabet. They also learn Armenian prayers, children's songs, and participate in group games and other age-appropriate activities in a nurturing environment.
We place a strong emphasis on spoken Armenian, encouraging conversation throughout the day. Children also enjoy supervised playtime with educational toys that support their learning and development. While the Toddler class does not use textbooks, beginning with our Nursery program (3 year-olds), we follow the Diocesan Language Lab curriculum and use its structured series of language books. The school year is also enriched with festive celebrations such as Christmas, Armenian Christmas, Poon Paregentan Fair & Party, our Easter Communion Breakfast (with the Easter Bunny and egg -hunt), Martyrs’ Day flower planting, Mother’s Day, and our end-of-year Hantes. These events help create a joyful, engaging, and memorable learning environment.
We offer a flexible schedule which allows families to ease their child into the program by attending for a shorter period of time during the first few weeks, depending on the child's comfort level and adjustment.
