About Between Borders
In this gripping drama, Violetta and Ivan, a resilient Armenian couple, seek asylum in the US after fleeing Baku in the 1980s. Violetta, a determined mother, longs for justice, while Ivan, a gentle musician, dreams of a hopeful future for their daughters. Haunted by displacement, they attempt to rebuild their lives in a Russian city, finding solace in a local church, but continue to face overt discrimination and threats to their family. Their pursuit of freedom and safety leads them to America, where a challenging court battle leaves their future hanging in the balance. The film will be releasing in theaters January 2025. 88 minutes. Learn more about the film here.
