NARA NOÏAN is the stage name of Anna - Naïra Pavlovna Mnoian, born on January 2, 1971, in Yerevan, ARMENIA.

She is an author, composer, performer, and Armenian actress.

She comes from an art-loving family; her mother, also a prominent actress, musician, and comedian in Armenia, is JANNA BLBULYAN.

Nara settled in France in 1991 and subsequently in Brussels, where she became director and instructor at the artistic center "Monde de la découverte" between 1998 and 2000.

Since then, she has collaborated on numerous projects, including with Gerry De Mol (Oblomov / Het draagsalade paradijs) and founded her own group BRADYAGA in 2003.

Recognized for her generosity and the humanistic messages she conveys in her songs, she was appointed ambassador for the "112" foundation (European emergency number).

Her discography is extensive.

She now lives in Liège and will be coming to Retie, where she will accompany herself on the piano (the instrument on which she won first prize at the "Komitas" Conservatory in Yerevan, Armenia).

She will be musically accompanied in Retie by VARDAN HOVANISSIAN, also with Armenian roots and a master of the duduk (a double-reed wind instrument from Armenia). The timbre of the duduk is sometimes compared to that of the human voice, especially in the higher notes. In the lower register, the duduk sounds more like a clarinet.

Along with the music, the duduk was recognized by UNESCO as Intangible Cultural Heritage of Armenia in 2008.

"A delicacy," therefore, and a unique opportunity to discover something new close to home and, above all, to enjoy it in an intimate setting.
