The Center for Armenian Arts is pleased to present Shadows of the Forgotten Past, a collaborative exhibition by Rafi Babayan and Vachag Ter Sarkissian.

Bringing together painting and sculptural forms, the exhibition explores memory, historical traces, and the fragile presence of what remains across time. Through symbolic imagery, textured surfaces, and expressive compositions, the works evoke fragments of forgotten narratives that continue to resonate in the present.

The exhibition’s title suggests an encounter with what history leaves behind — images, forms, and impressions that survive in altered shapes yet continue to carry emotional and cultural weight. The sculptural works appear almost archaeological in spirit, while the paintings preserve figures, symbols, and visual echoes that suggest inherited memory and layered identity.

Shadows of the Forgotten Past invites viewers into a space where personal memory and collective history intersect, allowing each work to function as both reflection and rediscovery.

We warmly invite you to join us for two days of art, contemplation, and dialogue.
