The AGBU New York Special Events Committee and AGBU Arts present Samvel Yervinyan in Concert, accompanied by pianist Armen Martirosyan and dancers Eduard Sargsyan and Natella Devitskaya.

Samvel Yervinyan was born in Yerevan, Armenia. He began his violin studies at age 9 and debuted with the Armenian Philharmonic Orchestra at age 14, performing Henry Vietan's Violin Concerto No. 2. He then continued his studies at Tchaikovsky's Music Conservatory under Edward Dayan and earned his PhD from Yerevan State Conservatory in 1993.

During this time, Mr. Yervinyan served as the concertmaster of the Yerevan Chamber Orchestra and made numerous appearances on Armenian television and radio. Mr. Yervinyan is widely recognized for performing over sixty concerts with Yanni's Orchestra from 2003 onwards. The American Federation of Musicians acknowledges Mr. Yervinyan as a "violinist of extraordinary ability, as demonstrated by sustained international acclaim."
