At British Armenian, we would like your help in raising £2000 to support refugee families from Artsakh. Reportedly, more than 100,000 people fled the Nagorno-Karabakh region at the end of September 2023. Many of the displaced families - particularly those from smaller towns and villages - entered the Republic of Armenia with little to no personal belongings. While many NGOs are helping to provide medical care, food, and clothing, our volunteers based in Armenia are seeing great demand for household items.
With your help, £2000 will provide 100 families with brand-new bedding, including bedsheets and pillowcases. In November, these will be purchased from local stores by volunteers on the ground, and distributed directly to those most in need.
You can join us for a Live Presentation and Fundraising Event, on Friday 3rd November at 7pm. This will be held at:
Hye Doon (Armenian House)
25 Cheniston Gardens
Kensington
London
W8 6TG
We will hear from volunteers based in Armenia, who will talk about their experiences helping Artsakh refugees. Refreshments will be provided.
Help us help them more!
All transport costs will be at the volunteers' own expense. All receipts and updates will be published for full transparency, on the British Armenian Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/BritishArmenian/
