The Hye Vibes were founded in 2004 by original members John Paklaian on dumbeg and vocals and AYF Boston “Siamanto” alum John Harotian on clarinet. Harotian named the band to reflect both the heritage and cool style of play of this group. AYF Detroit “Kopernik Tandourjian” alum Mark Gavoor on oud and vocals and Kraig Kuchukian on keyboards make up the rest of the band. Ara Topouzian from Detroit “Kopernik Tandourjian” alumni will be joining in on kanun. We can’t wait for this dance!

Tigran Asatryan

The theme for this dance is “A Little Hayastan,” because whenever two Armenians gather in the world, we DO make a little Armenia. For those who don’t know the legendary Tigran yet, you are in for quite a treat! He is the hottest, most popular singer from LA and is originally from Etchmiadzin. A hit for over 20 years with recent popular songs “Sev Achker” and “Varteris,” check him out on You Tube, Apple and Amazon Music. We love him and sure you will too!

Vernissage.We will also be having a Vernissage-type shopping area/bazaar so come enjoy Armenian vendors, an Armenian henna artist, items for sale, Olympic souviners and much more. Vernissage is the giant bazaar in the center of Yerevan, Armenia, where everyone sells their wares, tee shirts, and other items.
