We are more than just a creative community; we are a movement advocating for justice and equity through education, direct action, and grass-roots community building. @4plusphoto is an independent documentary photography centre established in 2012 based in Yerevan, Armenia. Their mission is to promote documentary photography and enhance the professional landscape in Armenia. 4Plus focuses on researching and documenting significant events in Armenia while highlighting important issues, including political, human rights, socio-economic, cultural, and ecological topics.
During the event, we will discuss the Armenians in Artsakh, along with the broader implications of documenting these times and the risks involved. Participants will gain exclusive insights into their work and creative processes, and we will explore how, as a community, we can raise our voices.
After our Q&A with 4plusphoto, we will conduct our Archive of Me workshop - piecing together memories, family, stories, and sensory moments tied to Armenian-ness or your own culture. Think of a collective time capsule for our future selves to reflect back on.
