This conference aims to provide an updated assessment of the situation of Armenian hostages and prisoners detained in Azerbaijan. It will examine concerns related to arbitrary detention, politically motivated prosecutions, due process violations and disproportionate sentencing, while exploring the implications of these developments for the European human rights policy and EU–Azerbaijan relations.
