Alexis Demirdjian is a Canadian attorney, currently serving as a Trial Lawyer for the Office of the Prosecutor at the International Criminal Court in The Hague since 2015. He previously worked as a trial attorney at the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) in The Hague. He has also worked as a lawyer for a Defence team before the ICTY. Currently, he is also an adjunct professor at Stockton University’s MAHG program (Masters of Holocaust and Genocide studies) where he teaches a semester-long course on Genocide and International Courts and Tribunals. He also lectures on particular aspects of the work of international courts and tribunals at during winter and summer programs of the Leiden university and the Asser institute. Mr Demirdjian is the editor and co-author of “The Armenian Genocide Legacy” (Palgrave Macmillan 2015) and has published several articles in the field of international criminal law.
