Dr. Richard Quinlan, the Director of Saint Elizabeth University’s Center for Holocaust and Genocide Education, will host an event commemorating the Armenian Genocide. Every year, the Center schedules an event to educate teachers and the community about the Armenian culture and in honor of the Remembrance of 1.5 million Armenians who perished at the hands of the Ottoman Empire in 1915-23.

Award-winning journalist, documentary filmmaker, and the Truth And Accountability League (TAAL) founder is the keynote speaker. Gerami’s presentation will take the audience through the Armenian Genocide (1915-1923), the Holocaust (1941-1945), the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) Genocide (2020-2023), and other genocides in the 20th and 21st centuries. The presentation will include clips from his documentary feature film, ‘Motherland,’ which includes interviews with seven leading members of Congress, including Congressman Adam Schiff, New Jersey Senator Bob Menendez, and Senator Frank Pallone.

The community is invited to attend this cultural event, which will include live traditional Armenian music, poetry, and Armenian food prepared by the University chef.
