Karen Babayan, a multidisciplinary artist and writer, will be reading her epic poem Armenian Coffee on the 2020-23 war between Azerbaijan and Armenia, which first appeared in The Big Issue, North (01.2021); followed by DJ Habibtati, a SWANA and experimental artist based in London who will be bringing the richness of her own and Babayan's Armenian, Iranian and Arabic cultural heritage to Digbeth First Friday, a monthly event for Digbeth galleries and creatives.

Karen is Artist in Residence 24 April- 25 May 2023 for Centrala's Hybrid Landscapes, a series of 5 micro-residencies to research & conceptualise the CEE identity, postcolonial space, racialisation, in-betweenness and migration in the UK. www.karenbabayan.com
